Cooper & Friedman Law Firm Helps Raise Money For Cancer Research
Written by Cooper & Friedman PLLC on August 17, 2015
On Saturday, August 15, 2015, Cooper and Friedman Attorneys at Law sponsored and participated in the 14th annual Double Bogey Invitational.
This golf tournament was held at the Golf Club of Dublin in Dublin, Ohio, to raise money for the Families for a Cure non-profit organization. This non-profit organization, co-founded by Eric Friedman, brother of Hal Friedman, is dedicated to raising money for patients battling cancer, while also funding cancer research.
Eric and Hal Friedman got inspired to get involved in cancer fundraising after losing their father Malcolm to cancer in 1990 and their mother Joyce to cancer in 2005.
Originally Eric founded the MJF Fund for Cancer Research in memory of Malcolm and Joyce Friedman. Then, in 2006, he partnered with Pat Puhl to get involved in the Double Bogey Invitational as an annual cancer fundraising event. By 2009 Families for a Cure was founded. And the organization continues to gain momentum, setting a major goal to donate $1 million to cancer research by 2021.
