Joshua Barnes, Associate Attorney at Cooper & Friedman, PLLC

Joshua Barnes is an Associate Attorney at Cooper & Friedman, PLLC, where he represents clients in personal injury, workers’ compensation, civil rights, and criminal law matters.

Called Josh by his friends, he was born and raised in Kentucky by two licensed attorneys; Josh has long been dedicated to the practice of law. He is a graduate of Frankfort High School and earned his undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University before attending the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, where he graduated with honors.

During law school, Josh gained valuable experience volunteering with the Kentucky ACLU, clerking at the Green Law Firm, and serving as a law clerk at Cooper & Friedman for two years. In his final year of law school, he also completed an externship with the Frankfort Department of Public Advocacy’s trial office, where he achieved a full acquittal for a client in a trial where he was first chair.

Josh looks forward to continuing his commitment to advocacy and client service as an attorney on the Cooper & Friedman team.
